Thar she blows



So we're out on the North Atlantic at Jeffrey's Ledge on my field trip today. Above are some seagulls that followed us in, and below, here's the head of a whale (finback) and

here's one of the many exhales that give that famous spray

and here's one with part of the second whale shown and the dorsal fin of another whale in front of it
Way cool day. Feel bad for the couple of kids who spent their time seasick, but basically it was a gorgeous day, cool but not too rough. Did get cold on the way in when we had total overcast, buut we were 20 miles out off the coast of New Hampshire, past the Isles of Shoals...very cool, very fun and loved being out for the day!!!
