Gone to the Dogs

So this weekend was mostly about spending time with our new dog and starting the fall clean up. It's the time of year- and it felt like fall. Saturday was damp, grey and rainy but yesterday-oo-la-la! We went and walked the beach, enjoyed some warm afternoon sun, and let Maddie meet her doggie cousin and run off some energy.
They seemed to be best friends right from the start. No growling or barking, just plain old play!
And a feather  twitching in the wind was a very interesting thing to bark at.
Lots of people walking by us on the beach got a good laugh from that.
Me too!
Fun shadows!

The beach was full of dogs and dog owners. Dogs were meeting up all over the place.  This is my daughter with her dog meeting this cute little guy.
The surfers said the waves were pretty high and rough.  There was some good wind blowing, that's for sure.
And this big old Victorian along the beach road really made me have one last flash feel of summer with those gorgeous flowers and the rocking chairs.
Other than the lack of arty play time, it was a great weekend. Having a new dog to spend some time with is always fun and exciting.
And a lot of work too!
Back to work- another busy week ahead-but I have a long weekend coming up!
And that's always fun to look forward too also!
Enjoy your day!
